Love and Other Impossibilities II

I hang my memories
With a long dead rose
From the limbs of sunlight
That dangle with a fishhook tease
Over the roads we once cherished.
Its this action of choice
That beats bright beyond
The old confines of love.
So I challenge the laws
Of physics and passion
To carry you wayward
And so I'll turn around
When you drift away.
